The Atomic Icon RS 12 bindings are inspired by professional-level World Cup bindings, but are designed with younger, lighter riders in mind who require DIN levels 4-12. They utilize Icon's centralized power transfer system, which places the binding plate and adjusts it for the next generation of skiers, giving them the tools they need to provide the greatest control and responsiveness on the ski. Strength and durability are provided by a steel and fiberglass binding construction and a Metal Race pedal that allows the boot sole to rest directly on the AFD plate for continuous power transfer to the ski. The brakes are strategically placed close to the heel, allowing the skier to turn and brake more effectively.
