  • Grip: the palm material has to hold a bar, pole or tool even when wet.
  • Warmth against dexterity: thicker insulation keeps heat in, thinner shells let you feel what you are doing.
  • Sizing: measure around the palm without the thumb; too large rubs, too tight restricts circulation and gets cold faster.
